An open stage, not a school competition. Students, college-goers, independent performers and anybody who can hold a crowd for a few minutes — register, send us a clip, and play a real festival stage in front of a real festival crowd. Fourteen talents, one property, and a wildcard for whatever you do that none of them describes.
You do not have to be at Elden Heights. You do not have to be in school. There is no separate singing contest, no separate dance contest, no separate poetry contest — everybody stands on the same stage under the same name, and the categories exist so that a beatboxer is judged against beatboxers rather than against a band.
Fourteen of them, and the last one is the point: if you can entertain an audience for three to six minutes, there is a slot with your name on it.
Playback, original, unplugged, a cappella — with a track or without.
Classical, hip-hop, contemporary, or something that has no name yet.
Formations, crews, a class that has been rehearsing since July.
Written or freestyle. Bring your own beat or take ours.
One mic, no instruments, and a room that goes quiet.
Tight five, clean-ish. The crowd is your family's friends.
Any language. Read it or know it by heart.
The one you wrote at 2 AM and have not shown anybody.
Voices, teachers, cricket commentators, film stars.
Guitar, tabla, keys, flute, violin — solo instrumental.
Full line-up, full backline, the longest slot on the stage.
Close-up on the big screen, or stage illusion.
Unscripted, unrehearsed, decided in the moment.
Whatever you do that none of the above describes. This is the one we are most curious about.
Two stages. The first happens on your phone; the second happens in front of a few thousand people.
Fill the form below and pay for your slot. Then send us a rough audition clip — a phone video is completely fine, we are listening for the act and not the camera. The council watches every single one and confirms your slot and your stage time by email and phone.
Turn up at your call time, soundcheck, and play. Judges score within your own talent; the crowd votes for People's Choice on the day. The whole thing is filmed, and your set is yours to keep and post.
Not a plastic trophy and a handshake. Cash, studio time, and the closing slot on the main stage.
Spotlight takes a title partner of its own, and the prize pool grows with it — scholarships, gear, studio time, vouchers. If that is your company or your college, the fest office would like a word.
